Set up in 1947, the Federation of Hong Kong Watch and Trades and Industries Ltd has completed 51 glorious years of its existence. The Federation's objectives are:

1. To promote and uphold the legal rights for businessmen of the watch and clock industry.
2. To promote and nurture relationships and common welfare among the members, merchants and manufacturers.
3. To represent and adopt ideas of watch and clock industry which affect members; to negotiate/petition to government or related organizations.
4. To translate and introduce to members regarding all government regulations and important policies.
5. To promote/support/against any legislation which will influence members' rights and benefits.
6. The charity fund is set up/supervised/managed by the Federation, which is permitted to donate to a person for his/her contribution to the industry/society; also can be donated/loaned to help charity organizations.

In addition, routine activities and services include:

• To hold seminars/workshops related to the industry.
• To organize the watch and clock trade show.
• To assist the Lee, Kuei-li Industrial College promote various watch and clock technical courses.
• To provide scholarships to members' children.
• To organize members' travel and activities.
• To attend charity activities.
• To mobilize membership in the Hong Kong watch and clock industry.
